Effortless Entertainment

F.A.Q.

How much does it cost?
Each private dinner is bespoke and tailored to match your individual taste and budget, so the cost of your meal will depend on your personal preference. The quotation will be discussed at our initial consultation, prior to agreeing a final menu.
The minimum cost is £50 per person and is dependent on the menu agreed.

Afternoon tea is from £20 per person.

One to one cooking lessons are £50 per hour per person.
Discounts are available for group lessons of four people or more.

What does the price include?
The price covers all aspects of your private dining experience: an initial consultation, all ingredients (which we will purchase), travel expenses, preparation, cooking, serving and washing up. The price does not include the cost of any beverages that you choose to enjoy with your meal.

When will I pay?
For dinners and afternoon tea, confirmation of the booking in writing, together with a deposit of 25% of the cost, is required with the initial quotation. The remaining balance is to be paid on the day of the function.
For cooking lessons, payment is due the same day as your lesson.
Gift vouchers are to be paid for in advance.

Will I have to do any shopping?
You won’t have to do any shopping at all, apart from any drinks you choose to accompany your meal. We will personally source the finest quality and freshest seasonal ingredients from the best local suppliers.

Who will serve the food and do the washing up?
I will serve your food – and explain the dishes to you and your guests if requested to. The service will be relaxed and discreet, leaving you free to sit back and enjoy the experience. I will also take care of all the washing up so your kitchen will be left as clean as it was found.

Additional staff can be arranged for larger functions, if required, to help with serving the food and pouring your wine. This would be discussed at the initial consultation stage and incorporated into the overall costs.

Can I still have a meal or cooking lesson at home if I live outside London?
Effortless Entertaiing mainly work within the London postcode area, however, we are happy to travel anywhere within the M25 region, and any additional transport costs would be factored into the price quoted.

Do you provide crockery, cutlery, glasses and linen?
Most people prefer to use their own tableware but this can be provided if requested. For larger functions the hire of table linen, cutlery, crockery and glassware can be arranged on request, at the appropriate cost.
